Kodiak Island

Kodiak Island is Gregg Vossler (former Submissionary/ current Yellow Fever co-host) and Ben Warehem, two U.S. expats from St. Paul and Philadelphia, respectively, making music in Beijing. Their live show consists of live instruments played along with prerecorded sounds, with the two members occasionally swapping instruments. The sound of Kodiak Island can be described as catchy, hook-filled, indie-rock/electro that could easily spill over into psych-rock if the lid is not kept on tightly enough. In March 2010 the band released their first recording, GAME EP, on cassette tape, in limited run, as part of Tag Team Record's Reverse<<<Polarity series.
